Mixed media canvas using new Impasto paints

Hello everyone,

i created a canvas using new "Impasto paints" from Prima marketing. These paints are so creamy and the colors are so yummy,it has matte finish and blends so well. From opaque to transparent effect you can get any finish you want depending upon the water you add,due to its thick consistency a little paint goes a long way.I created water color effect for my background, i used Bottle green and heather,i guess it makes perfect combination. And oh yes the colors are so bright as you see in the pictures.I have used "Rose quartz" collection to create the composition and used some fussy cut flowers ,prima flowers and 2crafty chipboard to embellish.

Mixed media layout tutorial

Hello everyone,

today i have a layout tutorial to share that i made for "Dress my craft" few days ago.I have used the fabulous "Hydrangea lawns" paper pad.The paper is so pretty with some beautiful shades of blues n purples and stunning florals.

So lets see the procedure:

I coated the paper with a layer of clear gesso first.

Next step is to fussy cut some flowers and leaves from the paper pad

Glued down the bigger flowers to the base for the first layer

Now i sprayed some colors in shades of blue and purple around the flowers and added some darker colors of same shades in some place using gelatos.

Did some random stamping using archival inks to add texture.

So here is the final layout,i added another layer of fussy cut flowers and leaves before i added the photos.

Hope you liked my project.

Kaisercraft September challenge

Hello everyone,

Do you know "Kaisercraft" runs a challenge every month?you can win some really cool kaisercraft goodies. This month we have an awesome sketch for you to play along.

Here is my take on it using the beautiful "Letters to santa" collection. Its a gorgeous christmas line with traditional colors and designs.I love mixed media the most, but some times i like to play just with papers and pretty embellishments, this is a very clean and layered layout using the fabulous images from the paper collection and die cuts(a kind of traditional scrapping as they say;))

More than words September challenge

Hello friends,

i am back again with another layout for "More than words" challenge. The word for this month is "Fearless" and creative challenge is "Grunge".So here is my take on it,again i have used  "Hazy days" collection from 7 dots studios, its perfect for all grungy projects. So what happens if you get complete freedom to play with paints?hehe i went crazy. This must be the most carefree project i have made and i totally enjoyed the creative freedom.I added many layers of paints, papers and different materials.I even went for a brighter color combination of orange, red and blue, but the colors are not shown much  in the final project as i added lots of black.

So we are waiting to see your fearless grungy projects this month ;)) and dont forget there are lots of prizes to be won.

Thank you for stopping by.
